Avir Health Group is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our care-focused team in Texas. The role involves preparing high-quality foods for residents, guests, and staff while ensuring compliance with state health regulations.

A family-oriented, team-driven culture is emphasized. Responsibilities include cooking with various equipment, accommodating special diets, adjusting recipes for servings, testing and refining recipes, and supervising kitchen staff to maintain quality and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
