Job summary

Marquette in Indianapolis is seeking a hospitality-focused Cook to join our Health Care Department. You will perform full-scope, hands-on production cooking for residents, upholding food safety and quality standards in a senior living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization at all times.
  • Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards consistently.
  • Produce and serve menu cycle programs that comply with required nutritional and dietary guidelines per local regulations and facility policies.
  • Prepare modified diets accurately per Policy and Procedure.
  • Demonstrate speed, accuracy, efficiency, and strong cooking skills in all food preparation and production.
  • Assist with meal service and ware washing as needed.
  • Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service (quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance) and recommend improvements to operations and procedures.
  • Represent the community in a warm, welcoming manner that promotes a positive environment for residents and families.
  • Support a culture of engagement where quality service and teamwork drive resident satisfaction and community success.

Marquette is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Cook to join our Health Care Department team! This position is responsible for full-scope, hands-on production cooking for residents in our Health Care neighborhood. The Cook is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service, food safety, and cleanliness at all times.

Pay

$19–$25 per hour (based on experience)

Daily Responsibilities of a Cook
