Job summary

Complete Care is hiring an experienced Dietary Cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow recipes, ensure food safety, and keep a clean, organized kitchen while supporting a positive dining experience.

The role requires knowledge of dietary requirements and familiarity with special diets. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; culinary training is a plus. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school or relevant training is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and regulations.
• Experience working in a kitchen, preferably in a long-term care facility or similar setting.
• Familiarity with special diets (low-sodium, diabetic, pureed, etc.).
• Strong cooking skills and understanding of various cooking techniques.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude when interacting with residents.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
