Job summary

Avir Vista is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook PRN to join our family. The role focuses on preparing and cooking high-quality foods for regular and modified diets for residents, guests, and staff, while ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Walk-ins are welcome daily and the position offers comprehensive benefits. The Dietary Cook will work in a team, handling various cooking tasks, and may supervise other kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary/food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
