Job summary

Smoky Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pigeon Forge, TN is seeking a dependable Dietary Cook to join the Food & Nutrition Services team. Full-time with morning, afternoon, and evening shifts; weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior cook/kitchen/food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, food safety, and sanitation.
• ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain if required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and resident dietary needs.
• Prepare regular and specialized diets as directed.
• Ensure meals are properly portioned, presented, and served on time.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor and document food temperatures as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area.
• Assist with food preparation, inventory, and stock rotation.
• Receive, organize, and properly store food and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining adequate food and kitchen supplies.
• Work collaboratively with Dietary, Nursing, and other facility team members.
• Help provide residents with a positive and enjoyable dining experience.
