Job summary

Harold and Louise Health Care Center is seeking a Dietary Cook/Aide to assist with meal preparation and resident service. The role includes part-time day shifts and full-time evening shifts, with a focus on safety, sanitation, and quality of life for residents.

Candidates should be self-motivated and energetic, able to follow standardized recipes, and committed to teamwork within a family-owned setting that values care and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and energetic work ethic.
• Willingness to work part-time days and full-time evenings.
• Ability to follow kitchen safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks according to the menu using standardized recipes.
• Serve residents in a timely and polite manner following safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Store food properly, clean equipment, kitchen and dining area using safety and infection control procedures.
• Proper use of equipment, supplies, and dietary goods.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety practices and reporting concerns to the Facility Administrator.
• Participate in staff development and maintain a positive, cooperative team atmosphere.

Harold and Louise Health Care Center is looking for a Dietary Cook/Aide!

***Part-time days and a Full-time Evenings position available.***

Your job will be to ensure that kitchen duties are completed on the weekend shift in accordance with our company’s policies and regulatory guidelines. You must be self-motivated and energetic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Prepare meals and snacks according to the menu using standardized recipes.
• Serve residents in a timely and polite manner following safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Store food properly, clean equipment, kitchen and dining area using safety and infection control procedures.
• Proper use of equipment, supplies, and dietary goods.
• Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety practices within the center and immediately reporting any safety concerns or issues to the Facility Administrator.

Participate in staff development, attend in-service training and maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation and teamwork with co-workers, supervisors, residents and visitors according to the organization’s policies and procedures and code of ethics.
