Job summary

The Pinnacle Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an afternoon shift Cook for a part-time role in our skilled nursing facility in Tallmadge, Ohio. You will prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation, manage records, and handle receiving, rotation and inventory of food supplies.

You will ensure dietary needs are met, including texture-modified foods when directed, and provide coverage in the dietary staff in the absence of the dietary manager.

The Pinnacle Rehabilitation and Nursing Center -

COOK FOR SKILLED NURSING FACILITY AFTERNOON SHIFT PART TIME. POSITION INCLUDING EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

Ideal Candidate:

Will be responsible for the preparation and serving of meals, sanitation of food service areas, accurate records keeping, receiving, rotating and inventory of products, and regulatory compliance. As a key member of the Dietary Department, ensure all special dietary needs are met with the ability to prepare texture modification food as directed. Consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality. Assumes

responsibility for the dietary staff in the absence of the dietary manager.

Qualifications/Experience

• High School graduate and previous institutional dietary service experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards and work assignments.
• Show a willingness to perform, routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Numerical accountability is necessary for recipe preparation and proper measuring of cleaning agents and chemicals as well as good motor coordination and manual dexterity are required for various work routines such as preparing food items, serving trays, handling soiled dishes, operating dietary equipment and cleaning work areas.
• 1 year experience working as a Cook in Skilled Nursing/Senior Living Preferred.
