Job summary

North Port Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is hiring a Cook for the 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. shift to craft high-quality meals for residents. You will prepare a variety of dishes, follow menus, and meet dietary needs while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

Ideal candidates bring proven Cook/Chef experience and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with opportunities for growth in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook or Chef with strong culinary skills.
• Solid knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using expert techniques, following menus and recipes.
• Deliver meals that look great, taste amazing, and meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
• Innovate by helping develop new recipes, seasonal specials, and menu items.
• Keep the kitchen spotless, organized, and compliant with all safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage inventory, monitor food stock, and assist with ordering ingredients as needed.
• Ensure every meal complies with dietary restrictions and health regulations.
• Provide exceptional service with a professional and positive attitude.
