Eldecrest Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare nutritious, appealing meals in a fast-paced healthcare kitchen. The role emphasizes dietary guidelines, food safety, and sanitation to support residents’ health.

You will work with the team to ensure quality food service, maintain a clean kitchen, comply with regulations, and assist in meeting residents’ nutritional needs. Shifts: 6:30am-3pm or 1pm-7:30pm.

This role plays an important part in supporting the health and well-being of residents by ensuring that meals are prepared according to dietary guidelines and individual nutritional needs.

Job Description:

The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing and serving food in accordance with health regulations, facility policies, and established dietary procedures. This position ensures that meals are nutritious, properly prepared, and appealing in presentation while meeting the dietary needs of residents. The Dietary Cook also helps maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment and works closely with other staff to provide high-quality food service.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a fast-paced kitchen or healthcare food service environment that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to sanitation and safety standards. Demonstrate ability to prepare quality food in accordance with current state and local standards and the policies and procedures of the facility; assure that quality food service is provided at all times; effective verbal and written English communication. Position requires prolonged standing, walking frequent bending, stooping, lifting, stretching; moving heavy boxes and pots; lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Shifts: 6:30am-3pm & 1pm-7:30pm
