Job summary

Avir Health Group in Lancaster, TX is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family and support resident well-being. You will prepare meals, adjust diets for individual needs, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality service for our residents.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, prior food service or healthcare kitchen experience, and a teamwork-driven mindset. We offer competitive pay, a 401k with match, family health insurance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

Major Responsibilities:

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
