Job summary

Maplewood Health Care Center in Jackson, Tennessee, seeks a compassionate Dietary Cook for the 12 PM to 8 PM shift. You will be an essential part of our care team, preparing and serving meals, assisting with production, and maintaining stock and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• 1 year of dietary or food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Submit administrative forms and reports to the Dietary Manager.
• Assist in establishing the food service production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Prepare and serve meals and bedtime snacks, and substitute meals as needed.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties and maintain stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Dietary Manager or VP of Nutritional Services.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information.

Dietary Cook Position Summary

As a Dietary Cook at Maplewood Health Care, you'll be an essential part of our residents' care. Responsibilities include:

• Ensure food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submit to the Dietary Manager.

• Assist in establishing food service production line to assure meals are prepared on time.

• Prepare and serve meals, prepare bedtime snacks, and serve substitute meals and/or snacks as necessary.

• Assist in daily cleaning duties and ensure stock levels of staple and non-staple food, supplies, and equipment are maintained at adequate levels.

• Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Dietary Manager and/or VP of Nutritional Services.

• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

Dietary Cook Requirements

• 1 year of dietary or food service experience preferred
