Job summary

Maplewood Health Care Center in Jackson, Tennessee is seeking a compassionate Dietary Cook to join our care team. You will help prepare and serve meals, ensure food procedures follow established policies, and assist in stocking and daily cleaning to support high-quality resident nutrition.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1 year of dietary or food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established food procedures and policies.
• Complete forms and reports and submit to the Dietary Manager.
• Assist in establishing production line to ensure timely meals.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks; assist with bedtime snacks.
• Maintain stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Dietary Manager or VP of Nutritional Services.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information.

Dietary Cook Position Summary

As a Dietary Cook at Maplewood Health Care, you'll be an essential part of our residents' care. Responsibilities include:

• Ensure food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submit to the Dietary Manager.
• Assist in establishing food service production line to assure meals are prepared on time.
• Prepare and serve meals, prepare bedtime snacks, and serve substitute meals and/or snacks as necessary.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties and ensure stock levels of staple and non-staple food, supplies, and equipment are maintained at adequate levels.
• Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Dietary Manager and/or VP of Nutritional Services.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

Dietary Cook Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of dietary or food service experience preferred
