Job summary

Valley Hill Health and Rehab is seeking a dedicated dietary team member to prepare meals for residents in a skilled nursing setting, following prescribed diet plans and strict sanitary standards.

You will work under the Food Service Director to ensure health policies are followed and resident comfort is prioritized. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with opportunities for GED guidance and training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.
  • Must meet state requirements for food handler training.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications and sanitation regulations.
  • Follow health, sanitary and infection control policies and community procedures.
  • Assist dietary team under the supervision of the Food Service Director.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, community procedures, and food safety and sanitation regulations, under the supervision of the Food Service Director. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent is required.

    • We can provide guidance and resources to help you earn your GED.

  • Must possess a working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.

  • Must meet and remain current with state specific requirements for food handler training.
