Job summary

Oakley Courts Assisted Living is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare and serve meals according to the prescribed menu, while ensuring safe food handling and regulatory compliance.

You will provide nutritionally appropriate meals to residents and support overall health and well-being in a caring senior living environment. A strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior dietary experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred.
• One year of experience as a cook in a large-scale operation highly preferred.
• Professional image and strong communication skills.

Overview

As a Dietary Cook, you are responsible for preparing and serving meals according to the menu, monitoring methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning. You will also safely and efficiently provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing their overall health. You will ensure the provision of quality food service and nutrition care in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve meals as per menu schedule.

Monitor food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning processes to ensure safety and compliance.

Provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents, maintaining and enhancing overall health.

Qualifications

• Fire and passion for working with seniors
• Flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior dietary experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred
• One year of experience as a cook in a large‑scale cooking operation highly preferred
