Responsibilities

We areseeking a dynamic and talented Dietary Cook. The incumbent will be responsible for high quality service to patients, staff, and visitors through the preparation and serving of meals and keeping the dining area clean.

Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the Dover, Delaware area. Dover Behavioral Health System features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Dover Behavioral Health System. Key Responsibilities include:

• Prepare hot and cold foods via documented recipes and production sheets
• While providing excellent customer service, portion foods on customers’ plates or in approved packaging
• Take, record, and monitor food temperatures of food items
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year experience in the food service industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hospital or military food preparation/serving experience

*UHS benefits are available to employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week. Coverage is effective on day 31 of employment. Eligibility for employees who are scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week varies by location.
