Job summary

Tutera Senior Living and Health Care is seeking a part-time Dietary Cook to prepare and serve meals according to the menu, monitor handling methods, and ensure nutritionally appropriate food for residents. You will uphold quality food service and nutrition care under federal, state, and local regulations.

The role emphasizes safety, compassion for seniors, and teamwork in a community-focused setting. Prior LTC / SNF dietary experience is preferred and a professional appearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to prepare and serve meals according to the menu.
• Monitor methods of food handling, preparation and meal service.
• Ensure nutritionally appropriate meals for residents.
• Follow Federal, State and Local regulations for food service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals per menu and maintain clean kitchen equipment.
• Monitor and enforce safe food handling practices and portion control.
• Support dietary staff and residents with a positive, compassionate attitude.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• High school diploma, or equivalent, required
• Prior dietary experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred
• One year of experience as a cook in a large-scale cooking operation highly preferred
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
