Job Title: Dietary Cook

Shift Available: Full Time 6AM - 2:30PM. Must be available every other weekend.

Pay starting range of $16.50 - $18.50 and is decided based on years of experience.

Our goal is to provide our residents with a homelike environment which includes all the comforts, taste, and aroma of home cooked meals. We are seeking a FULL-TIME COOK to assist us in meeting this standard of dietary service for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Ensure food is served at the right temperature and in an appealing manner.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assist in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Assist with special dietary requests and accommodate residents' needs.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred.
• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude towards the elderly and disabled
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and the ability to accommodate special diets.
• Flexibility in scheduling to cover both day and evening shifts.
• Culinary training or certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
