Job description

The Glebe is seeking a Dining Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position starting at $15.33 an hour.

Responsibilities:
  1. Welcome diners, assist with seating, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
  2. Prepare dining areas for meal service.
  3. Check dishes, linens, and utensils for cleanliness.
  4. Arrange buffet stations with food, garnishes, and decorations following the service diagram.
  5. Greet customers, review menu items, and take meal orders.
  6. Serve customers, clear dishes, and handle special requests courteously.
  7. Portion and plate food according to standards.
  8. Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling.
  9. Demonstrate dependability in attendance and task completion.
  10. Maintain personal cleanliness and wear appropriate uniforms and hair coverings.
  11. Approach customers and colleagues courteously and friendly.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  2. Organizational skills to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  3. Courteous customer service attitude.
