Job summary

Mission Senior Living seeks a Dietary Aide to assist in food preparation and meal service for residents within scheduled timeframes. The role also includes maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area, following resident diets, and logging chemical and temperature data.

The incumbent will report any losses, breakages, or safety concerns to the Director of Dining Services and may assist as a Resident Assistant when dietary duties are complete.

Qualifications

• Keeps licensures (ServSafe, Food Handler's Card, CPR/First Aid) in good standing at all times.
• Ability to push, pull and lift at least 50 lbs; able to bend, squat and climb stairs.

Job description

Assists with preparation of food items and serves food to residents within scheduled time frame.Cleans and maintains food service areas, including kitchen and dining room.Assists Director of Dining Services and/or cook in maintaining inventory control.Maintains clean, neat and safe work environment.Assures that residents diets are followed.Assures team members and resident guest meals are accounted for on a daily basis.Reports to Director of Dining Services any loss, breakage or waste of supplies and equipment.Observes and communicates to Director of Dining Services problems or potential problems in the dietary department.Observes and reports any unusual or potentially dangerous resident behaviorMaintains current cleaning list and highest standards for kitchen cleanliness.Assists as a resident assistant when all dietary duties are finished.Assists in an emergency or, when short-staffed, as a Resident Assistant.
