Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated server to courteously serve meals to residents and guests, assist with menu selections, and maintain a clean dining environment. The role includes beverage service, tray support, and upholding resident confidentiality while interacting with residents and staff.

The position requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and emphasizes teamwork and high-quality service in a senior care setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under supervision.
• Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve resident and guest meals courteously and assist with menu orders.
• Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk, coffee/tea).
• Help with tray service and assist residents with mobility or other needs.
• Clean up, reset dining room, and maintain sanitation in kitchen and dining area.
• Refill salt, pepper and sugar bowls; report broken equipment or tableware.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings; follow confidentiality policies.

Job Description

• The Server is responsible for courteously serving resident and guest meals, and for clean-up and resetting of dining room following meal service.
• Assists residents when placing orders from the menu
• Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea)
• Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls prior to and after each meal
• Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor
• Understands sit-down service and proper serving techniques
• Has a basic understanding of food preparation (salads, desserts, etc.)
• Knowledge of proper food storage and labeling techniques
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room
• Attends required in-services and staff meetings
• Completes all other duties assigned
• Must be attentive to special needs of residents including: mobility deficits, memory impairment, etc.) Assists with tray service
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information
• Interacts in a polite considerate manner to residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors

• Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene
• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks
• Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles
