Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a courteous Server to provide meals and beverage service to residents and guests in a caring senior living environment. The role includes assisting with menu orders, tray service, and maintaining a clean dining room and kitchen area.

Responsibilities include following hygiene standards, supporting residents with special needs, and working a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Maintain clean uniform and personal hygiene during shifts.
• Able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Able to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Able to stand and walk for up to 3 hours; lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve resident and guest meals courteously and reset dining room after meals.
• Assist residents with menu orders and provide beverages.
• Refill salt, pepper, sugar and assist with tray service.
• Report broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Maintain clean dining room and kitchen areas (sweep, mop, vacuum).
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings; complete other duties as assigned.
• Be attentive to residents' special needs (mobility, memory impairment).
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Interact politely with residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors.

# Job DescriptionThe Server is responsible for courteously serving resident and guest meals, and for clean-up and resetting of dining room following meal service.Assists residents when placing orders from the menu Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea) Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls prior to and after each meal Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor Understands sit-down service and proper serving techniques Has a basic understanding of food preparation (salads, desserts, etc.) Knowledge of proper food storage and labeling techniques Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room Attends required in-services and staff meetings Completes all other duties assigned Must be attentive to special needs of residents including: mobility deficits, memory impairment, etc.) Assists with tray service Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information Interacts in a polite considerate manner to residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors Requirements: Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene Must be able to read and follow simple instructions Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three (3) hours at a time Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet Must be organized and willing to work well with other team members Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays Rate: $15.00 to $16.50/hr
