DIETARY AIDE

Per Diem, Weekends

Job Summary
  • Follow planned menu and receive meal orders from residents.
  • Prepare food and beverages for serving based on established procedures.
  • Provide food service to residents, including portioning, plating, loading, delivering, and serving meals.
  • Assist in serving plates and tray carts, including loading, delivering, and serving.
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize glasses, dishes, silverware, and service ware according to established procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and sinks after each meal or as needed.
  • Clear, clean, and sanitize tables.
  • Sweep and mop floors as assigned.
  • Clean cabinets, refrigerators, freezers, walls, garbage cans, carts, pantries, and other equipment as needed.
  • Follow posted cleaning schedules.
  • Assist in meal, drinks, supplements, and snacks preparation.
  • Assist with duties of the Cook and Assistant Cook as needed and/or assigned.
  • In case of fire or fire drill:
    • Shut off electrical equipment.
    • Close doors.
    • Report to Nurses Station for further instructions.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must purchase and wear required uniform.
  • Must be able to operate equipment safely.
  • Must use supplies economically.
  • Must attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
  • Demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Must read, understand, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies.
