Responsibilities

  • Handle and store all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines
  • Assist with food preparation as directed by your supervisor
  • Prepare food items following standardized recipes and safety practices
  • Assist with setting up the food tray line
  • Assemble diet trays and deliver them to dining areas or units
  • Clean dishes, utensils, and equipment per facility procedures
  • Help with dishwashing and cleaning tasks

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: One year of experience as a food service aide in an institutional setting
