Responsibilities

• Handle and store all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines
• Assist with food preparation as assigned by supervisor
• Prepare food items according to standardized recipes, ensuring safe food handling practices
• Assist with the setup of the food tray line
• Assemble diet trays and deliver tray carts to dining areas or units
• Clean dishes, utensils, and equipment according to facility procedures
• Assist in dishwashing and cleaning tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Preferably one year of experience as a food service aide in an institutional setting
