We are hiring for Full-time & Part-time positions

The Food Service Aide works in the kitchen assisting in the preparation and service of food and follows a cleaning schedule. The service of food may include transporting food trays to nursing units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Food Service Aide may be responsible for some or all of the following functions under the assignment and direction of his/her supervisor:

• Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of meals, snacks, and beverages.
• Assemble trays, clean, and store supplies and equipment.
• Continuously clean food service work areas during food preparation and service.
• Label nourishment and send or transport them to resident floors.
• Transport trays and carts to and from resident floors.
• Use all equipment according to manufacturer instructions, following proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Handle, store, and dispose of food supplies, and prepare food in accordance with department procedures and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Follow facility policies and procedures for infection control at all times to maintain sanitary preparation and storage areas. Use personal protective equipment when indicated.
• Communicate with the Director of Food Service or Assistant Director of Food Service throughout the shift as needed to meet residents' needs.
