• Work Schedule: Days and Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Summary

Performs duties including meal preparation, assembly, and distribution to patients/residents and visitors. Adheres to safe food handling procedures. Conducts cleaning and sanitizing of work areas and equipment. Transports equipment, meals, and supplies.

Responsibilities

Education

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Previous food service experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Effective communication skills, including approach, tone, respectfulness, and non-verbal cues
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to tell time and read a clock
• Basic math skills

Working Conditions

• Prolonged standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds
• Sufficient dexterity for handling food and equipment
• Work in varying temperatures from 0 to 90 degrees
• Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling
• Potential exposure to hazards from electrical, mechanical, and chemical agents
• Possible exposure to flammable gases, burns, cuts, steam, and heat
