Lansdowne Village is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to support our senior residents. You will prepare trays, deliver meals, and maintain sanitary food service areas while adhering to dietary needs and safety procedures.

We welcome candidates with a High School Diploma and good English communication skills. This role offers diverse shift options and a supportive team within a large network of care facilities.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English.
• Professional conduct is expected.

• Ability to manage relationships with residents and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate ethical practices in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Deliver items as requested by resident care units or residents.
• Maintain a clean, organized tray line.
• Prepare special diet foods as necessary.
• Deliver food carts to patient care units and return carts to kitchen.
• Wash dishes and log wash temperatures.
• Wash items by hand as needed.
• Dispose of trash properly.
• Store dishes and utensils correctly.
• Mop floors as scheduled.
• Clean walk-in refrigerators and dry storage areas; log temperatures daily.
• Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and nourishments.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor.
• Maintain good relations within the department and with other departments.
• Treat residents and guests with respect and dignity.
• Observe infection prevention and control practices.
• Participate in departmental improvement activities.
• Support resident safety and reduce health care errors.
