Forefront Healthcare is hiring for a Dietary Aide/Server for our Independent Living Dining Room!

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide is responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs.

Assists the cook in the preparation and service of meals, meeting scheduled meal times while following established policies and procedures within the dietary department to ensure residents receive the highest quality of service.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines and regulations.
  2. Deliver residents’ meal carts and set up and clean assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
  3. Accurately record temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
  4. Wash and store dishes, adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
  5. Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community’s rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  1. 1 year food service experience preferred but not required
  2. Fluent in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
  3. Ability to communicate clearly to all levels within the community
  4. Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents, understanding their special needs
  5. Must be able to follow directions and follow through on assignments
  6. Ability to work with others as part of a team
  7. Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  8. ServSafe certification is desirable but not required

Education Requirement
