Westminster Assisted Living & Memory Care of Decatur is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and support nutritious, high-quality meals for residents. You will assist with meal prep, service, and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in a food service role is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is expected.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness; wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Assist with meal setup, serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols including storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory Support: Help receive/store food and supplies; notify Dietary Manager of shortages.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen/ dining operations.
• Resident Engagement: Fulfill special dietary requests and meet residents' preferences during meals.
