Job description

We are looking for a caring and dependable Dietary Aide to join our growing team! If you are passionate about helping people and seniors in particular, then come join our team as a Dietary Aide!

Shift days:

Full-time (32+ hours), specific days negotiable

Shift hours:

Either 7am-1pm or 1pm-7pm

A recent winner of the Top Local Employer Award, we are a full-service senior living community located near the heart of Bowdon at 501 Mitchell Ave in downtown Bowdon GA. Our goal is to be the best senior living community in Georgia; one that prioritizes resident care and employee wellbeing. We have a staff of over 20 stellar people who are dedicated to improving the lives of seniors.

Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, hard-working, and above all else, caring and compassionate. Duties involve assisting our residents with daily living, cooking meals in a commercial kitchen, ensuring proper nutrition, and assisting with feeding as needed. We are a growing organization and we are looking for more stellar staff members.

Job Duties

  • Set up workstations
  • Prep for upcoming meals based on monthly menu
  • Cook dishes to business standards
  • Anticipate needs of available food and act accordingly
  • Follow and maintain health and safety guidelines
  • Setup and breakdown kitchen stations and serving stations
  • Assist with resident feeding as needed
  • Ensure nutritional and regulatory requirements are met with meals and recipes
  • Maintain clean working environment and keep up with inventory management needs

Minimum Requirements

  • Be a caring, compassionate, and reliable person who loves working with elders.
  • Be at least 18 years old and be eligible to work in the US.
  • Ability to work with a team towards success
  • Strong communicational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with cooking equipment and utensils
  • Be comfortable with technology, including medical records system and inventory management
  • At least 1 year previous cooking experience
  • At least 1 year experience in commercial kitchen, preferred
  • Be able to pass a state-mandated background and finger print check
  • ServSafe certified or other relevant certifications a plus.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds, stand on feet for extended periods of time
  • American Heart Association BLS (CPR) certification, or willing to get prior to starting work
  • Complete all new hire training requirements within 30 days of hire
  • Be able to pass a Drug Free Workplace new hire urine drug screen
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Compensation

  • Starting pay is $12/hr, Potentially more with experience and/or licenses/certifications
  • A performance pay adjustment available after 90 day probationary period.
  • +$1/hr night differential for any hours worked during 3rd shift
  • PTO for all full-time and part-time employees
  • Dental, vision, short-term disability, accident, life, and hospital insurance available after 60 days from hire.
  • Options for professional development available.
