Job summary

Avalon Health Care Group in Roosevelt, UT seeks a dependable Dietary Aide to join our team. The role supports dishwashing, food preparation, and serving while upholding sanitary standards in kitchen and dining areas.

Candidates must hold a Food Handler's permit/ServeSafe certification, read/write English, and interact positively with residents and staff. A background check is required. On-call schedule with eligibility for benefits under full-time status.

Qualifications

• Must have Food Handler's permit/ServeSafe certification as per state requirements.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Must relate positively to residents and work cooperatively with others.
• Must pass criminal background and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in washing and sanitizing dishes.
• Assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Check that plate and hot base lowerator is heated, steam table is properly heated.
• Ensure accurate serving portions and food items on each tray before loading to the food cart.
• Ensure appropriate serving utensils are used and temperatures are logged.
• During tray line, ensure trays are garnished, neatly arranged, silverware and dishes are clean.
• After tray-line, record excess/shortage and discuss with supervisor.
