Job summary

Dept of Veterans Services is seeking a Wage Dietary Aide at the Davis & McDaniel Vet Care Ctr. The role involves assembling resident trays, delivering meal carts, and assisting with nourishment preparation and cleanup.

You will also handle food cart pickup, dishwashing, and adhere to safety standards while following supervisor instructions. The position requires readability at a 10th grade level, ability to push/pull 50 lbs daily, and willingness to cross-train across dietary areas.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tray line operations and various diets would be a plus.
• Must be able to read at a 10th grade level.
• Must be able to push/pull 50lbs. or more daily.

Responsibilities

• Assemble resident trays and deliver meal carts or trays to units.
• Assist with preparing, delivery and cleanup of between-meal nourishment.
• Pickup of food carts and delivery to dish room; operate dish machine to clean trays.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines and supervisor instructions.
• Cross-train in dietary areas and assist during emergencies as needed.
