Job summary

Residences at Vantage Point is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve therapeutic diet trays for health center residents. The role supports meals, tray setup, and transport within the dining area.

We offer an attractive benefits package after 60 days and a competitive hourly rate. Prior nursing home food service experience is preferred, with emphasis on empathy for residents and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
• Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interprets specifications and standards.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
• Wears appropriate black non-slip footwear.

Responsibilities

• Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
• Serves meals in the health center.
• Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal.
• Transports hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
• Transports all required non food items to and from the health center.
