Job summary

Fountain View Nursing & Rehabilitation in Silverton, OH is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our dining services team. You will assist with meal preparation, service, and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment to support resident satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent), basic food safety knowledge, and a teamwork mindset. ServSafe certification is preferred or willingness to obtain; prior food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dietary or food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and tray assembly.
• Serve meals to residents in the dining room and/or resident rooms.
• Ensure proper portioning and presentation of food items.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.
• Follow sanitation, infection control, and food safety guidelines.
• Assist with dishwashing and cleanup after meals.
• Communicate respectfully with residents and team members.
