Job Summary

This role is essential in ensuring that residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals in a friendly and supportive environment. The Dietary Aide assists in food preparation, service, and cleanup while following dietary guidelines and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in meal preparation and food service according to resident dietary needs and preferences.
  • Deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Set up dining areas, serve meals, and ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
  • Wash dishes, clean kitchen equipment, and maintain overall cleanliness of the dietary department.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and facility policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Culinary Services.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and a compassionate attitude toward residents.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations (training provided).
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
