Job Title: Dietary Aide - PRN Days

Job Responsibilities
  • Handle food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures
  • Set up trays for meals
  • Deliver and retrieve food to and from patient areas
  • Process soiled trays, dishes, and utensils through dishwasher
  • Operate equipment safely
  • Report discrepancies to supervisor
  • Control use of cleaning agents
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
  • Perform cleaning duties as scheduled
  • Clean and sanitize equipment
  • Empties trash containers regularly
  • Prepare snacks and beverages between meals
  • Prepare nutritional supplements and tube feeding products as needed
  • Report malfunctioning equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
  • Pick up food from stores if standard providers are unavailable
  • Maintain dietary storage areas
  • Perform clerical duties and concierge services as assigned
  • Travel to all facility locations as required
  • Attend staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Food Handler Safety Training Certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years hospital food service experience
  • English fluency (written and oral)
