Job description

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Routine food preparation and delivery services of cold or hot foods in the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform routine tasks related to clean up and sanitation of kitchen, dining, or serving areas.
2. Properly prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
3. Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
4. Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menu.
5. Utilize service methods and food handling techniques to ensure quality.
6. Understand and apply sanitation procedures needed to provide a safe and healthy environment.
7. Adhere to menu compliance, including special diet requirements, and report any dietary non-compliance, concerns, or complaints of patients to the dietician, supervisor, or manager.
8. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state and facility.
