Job summary

FutureCare in Annapolis is seeking a Dietary Aide/Porter to support the Food & Hospitality Department. You will help ensure proper delivery of nutritional services to residents under supervision, following sanitation and safe serve policies.

The role emphasizes courteous, effective communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with rewarding benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous healthcare/skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and courteous demeanor.
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods.
• Serve and deliver food to residents as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas as assigned.
• Properly store food per temperature and spoilage guidelines.
• Transport and deliver food/beverage items to residents.
• Assist Lead Porter or staff with moving large items in the kitchen.
• Load and operate the dishwasher.
• Maintain sanitation with proper temperature, chemicals and water levels.

At FutureCare our Dietary Aides/Porters are an integral part of the Food & Hospitality Department who ensure proper delivery of nutritional services to our residents. Under the direction of the Clinical Food Service Director, the Dietary Aide/Porter will follow proper care with food sanitation, food handling and safe serve policies set forth by the facility.

***Competitive Pay $15.70 - 17.50/hr***

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. Responsibilities

• Transport/deliver food/beverage items to assigned residents
• Assist Lead Porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen area
• Load/operate dishwasher machine
• Ensure proper temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels are maintained for proper sanitation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be courteous and friendly at all times
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours or longer
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull food carts and other food utility supplies up to 50lbs
• Ability to deal with residents, and staff in a tactful, diplomatic and respectful manner
• Ability to follow all written and verbal instructions
