Job summary

Roseville Care Center in California is seeking a Kitchen Aide to support daily meal service. You will learn the food service routine quickly, strip down trays, wash dishes, assist with serving meals, and help keep the kitchen clean and safe.

This role requires reading and following recipes and procedures, recording temperatures, and maintaining equipment; you will work closely with dietary staff and other departments to ensure smooth operations and a sanitary environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Learn and adapt to the food service routine quickly.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe water temperatures of dishwasher during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away safely and orderly.
• Leave kitchen clean and sanitary; assist cook or dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.

• Ability to work in cooperation and harmony with personnel in all departments.

Qualification Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
