Bolster Heights is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team!
This is a full-time 40-hour, benefits eligible position.
Starting pay is $18.00 per hour.

This is a Residential Dietary Aide position with our Bolster Heights Long Term Care Facility in Auburn, Maine. The Dietary Aide is responsible for the assistance in all aspects of meal preparation as directed by the Charge Cook. Provides prompt and accurate assistance to the department to maintain a high quality of meals and service to all residents. Follows established policies and procedures of the facility. Follows established safe food handling practices.

Requirements:
• Must be able to read, write and follow directions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in the preparation of meals and snacks as directed by the Charge Cook or Director of Personal Care Services.
  2. Assists in washing dishes following meal service.
  3. Assists cook in pot and pan washing.
  4. Assists cook in preparation and serving meals to the residents.
  5. Responsible for cleaning assigned areas and mopping floors following sanitation and safety techniques.
  6. Assists in tray assembly, tray/cart delivery, dining room service and cleanup.
  7. Assists with in-between meal nourishment preparation.
  8. May assist in receiving and storage of food supplies.
  9. Other duties as assigned by cook and/or Director of Personal Care Services.
  10. Must be able to understand and follow directions during meal preparation.
  11. Understands and follows/complies with diets as prescribed by physician.
  12. Assists in the processing of selective menus as directed.
  13. Customer Service: Interacts with all individuals in a consistent manner, providing attention, support, and assistance to foster an environment of exceptional personal service.
