Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is seeking a Dietary Aide to assemble and serve meals, maintain a clean work area, and support patient nourishment needs. You will handle patient trays, assist with special function setups, record dietary information, and ensure accuracy and safety in food handling and sanitation.

This full-time role follows a 5:00am–10:00pm schedule with opportunities for performance improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Michigan driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, organizes, cleans and maintains work area.
• Assembles, serves, and delivers meals; sets up items for special functions and fills requisitions.
• Performs clean-up duties after meals and special functions; picks up patient trays.
• Inspects trays, food carts and items for special functions, for accuracy.
• Portions food according to established standards.
• Prepares side dishes, sort-order items, nourishment's, cold plates, and beverages.
• Maintains patient/dietary records and reports.
• Cleans and sanitizes utensils and equipment.
• Performs mathematical calculations for items such as, but not limited to, tube feedings, diets, and recipes.
• Maintains an accurate accounting of cash and prices.
• Answers telephone; gives limited information; takes and relays messages.
• Performs dietary functions of the Patient Information System.
• Responsible for using and cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Performs other related duties as required and directed.
