Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in serving meals to patients, visitors and staff across the lifespan. You will contribute to a clean, organized dining environment and follow HACCP, HIPAA, and safety guidelines while delivering prompt, courteous service.

Responsibilities include taking orders, preparing portions, stocking supplies, operating the dining area, and ensuring accurate temperature records and sanitation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Provides all necessary customer service functions.
• Takes customer orders promptly and accurately.
• Sets up and maintains dining areas in a sanitary manner.
• Prepares food items and pre-preparation assignments.
• Maintains sanitation and safety per HACCP and HIPAA guidelines.
• Operates cash register and handles deposits as needed.
• Delivers meals to patient units and assists in food delivery.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and dining areas.
