Job summary

WeCare Centers at Sycamore Care Center in Montoursville, PA is seeking motivated Dietary Aides to assist in preparing and serving meals for residents. You will work in the kitchen before, during, and after meals to ensure quality, safety, and nutrition aligns with dietary plans.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet all health compliance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Minimum 1 year food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepare meals, snacks, and nourishments per sanitary regulations and facility standards.
• Serve meals palatable and at proper temperatures, timely.
• Serve food from steam table or transport carts to resident areas.
• Respect residents’ food preferences per tray tickets within diet guidelines.
• Ensure food supplies for next day production.
• Assist cooks in meal preparation as directed.
• Follow proper handwashing and safety procedures.

WeCare Centers at Sycamore Care Center is actively seeking motivated Dietary Aides for our community in Montoursville, PA. Our Dietary Aides assist in the kitchen area prior to, during, and after meals are served to residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.
• Serves meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
• Serves food from steam table and or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
• Honors residents food likes, dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
• Ensures food supplies for the next day production is available.
• Assists cooks in preparing meals as directed.
• Uses proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.
