Sequoia Transitional Care in Porterville, CA is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist in meal prep and service for residents. The role supports cooks and the Dietary Supervisor in daily kitchen activities and adheres to federal, state, and local standards.
Responsibilities include setting up meal trays, assisting with service, maintaining cleanliness, and following safety guidelines. A high school diploma is preferred, with a valid Food Handler's Certificate actively pursued or obtained.

Pay Range: $17.40 - $18.00/hour
General Purpose
The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation and service of meals to residents in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Assignments are determined based on the needs and activity of the shift. This position reports to the Cook and/or Dietary Supervisor.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and follow recipes and technical procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and staff.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply basic math concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and follow written and verbal instructions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler's Certificate.
