Job summary

Bridgewater Assisted Living is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide in Ocala, FL to assist with daily meals and support residents in maintaining their highest functional abilities. As a member of the dietary team, you will prepare and portion food, deliver meals, keep work areas clean, and follow OBRA, state, and facility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Understanding safe dietary procedures and geriatric care.
• Willingness to serve residents' best interests.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Some dietary experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food items to maintain the highest quality of life for residents.
• Set up meal trays and deliver meals.
• Assist with stocking on delivery days.
• Wash and store pots, pans, dishes and utensils; sweep and mop floors as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and their care to protect rights and privacy.
• Ensure dietary work areas are clean and sanitary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing assistance with daily functions of the Dietary Department and to maintain a clean, safe work environment for all resident meals in accordance to the facility, OBRA, Federal State and other regulatory expectations.

• Preparing and portioning food items to help maintain the highest quality of life to all residents
• Setting up meal trays and delivery of meals
• Assisting with putting stock away on delivery days
• Washing and storing all pots, pans, dishes and utensils as well as sweep and mop floors and any other assigned special cleaning
• Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure resident rights and privacy are protected at all times
• Ensuring the dietary work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner
• Performing other duties as assigned
