Salary: $16.00+/hour

Schedule: 11:30 am - 7:30 pm or 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm, 20-24 hours per week, every other weekend required

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide is responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs.

Assists the cook in meal preparation and service, ensuring scheduled meal times are met, and following policies and procedures within the dietary department to provide high-quality service to residents.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Assist the cook/supervisor with food preparation and service, following specific procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
  2. Deliver residents’ meal carts, set up and clean dining areas to serve residents.
  3. Accurately record refrigerator temperatures; clean and stock as needed.
  4. Wash and store dishes, maintaining sanitation and kitchen cleanliness.
  5. Be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and community rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
  1. At least 1 year of food service experience preferred.
  2. Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  3. Effective communication skills across all levels within the community.
  4. Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents, understanding their unique needs.
  5. Ability to follow directions and complete assignments.
  6. Teamwork skills.
  7. Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  8. ServSafe certification is desirable.
  9. High school diploma or GED required.
