Job summary

The Villas at St. Therese in Columbus, OH is hiring a part-time Dietary Aide to support our independent living facility. Shifts run from 11am to 7pm, 3 days per week plus every other weekend, at a rate of $14.50 per hour.

Duties include meal prep, basic kitchen tasks, and helping residents with dining in a compassionate, service‑oriented environment. We seek caring individuals with a HS diploma (or equivalent), English literacy, and a willingness to work alternating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a caring and compassionate nature.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Must be able to understand, read & write English.
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Responsibilities

• Maintain infection control practices.
• Keep equipment and workspace clean and maintained.
• Prepare food in a nutritious, appetizing manner and present with care.
• Operate kitchen equipment: toaster, steam line, plate warmer, dishwasher, coffee maker.
• Check dining area setup and readiness.
• Label and date foods for proper storage.
• Distribute appropriate snacks to residents.
• Sweep and mop floors; clean machinery and counters.

Dietary Aide

A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Independent Living facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've provided spiritually motivated care for the elderly of Columbus for over 65 years. Caring for someone isn’t just a job, it’s a compassionate calling based on deep-rooted spiritual beliefs.

We are looking to hire a Part-Time Dietary Aide.

• 11am to 7pm; 3 days/week plus Every Other Weekend.
• $14.50 per hour.

Dietary Aide Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a caring and compassionate nature.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Must be able to understand, read & write English.
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Dietary Aide Job Summary:

• Ensure that established Infection Control practices are maintained.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and work area clean.
• Prepare food in a nutritional, appetizing fashion and present in a caring manner.
• Operate equipment: toaster, steam line, plate warmer, dishwasher, coffee maker.
• Check dining area to ensure set up.
• Label & date foods for proper storing.
• Distribute appropriate snacks to floor.
• Sweep & mop floors.
• Clean machinery & stainless-steel counters.
