Job summary

Embassy Healthcare in Columbus, OH is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to assist in all dietary functions under the direction of the Dietary Manager. You will help prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation, and support daily food service operations for residents.

The role requires reading, writing and speaking English, basic education, and ability to follow instructions. Training is provided on the job in a collaborative dietary services environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 12th grade education.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or possess a work permit.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Experience: None. On-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to read and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, and work areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as with other departments within the facility to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary, observing sanitation/safety requirements and on a timely basis.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
