Job summary

Buckeye Care and Rehabilitation in Lancaster, OH is seeking a dietary aide to assist with meal service, dishwashing, tray handling, and sanitation in the kitchen.

You'll work under the Cook and Dietary supervisor, learn routines quickly, and contribute to a clean, safe food service environment by following procedures and maintaining records such as temperatures and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to work with managers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routine within a short period.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Observe dishwasher temperatures during cycles.
• Operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage disposal.
• Put groceries away safely and neatly.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and assist when needed.
• Clean surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
