Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Handler's License preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility as a Dietary Aide required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and dietary guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food, garnishes, snacks and beverages following approved menus and procedures.
• Coordinate with the cook to serve meals and ensure food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
• Follow portion control guidelines and monitor temperatures to reduce waste.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning, dish washing and storage according to schedule.
• Monitor equipment temperatures and report out-of-range readings to supervisor.
• Set up dining room, bussing and maintain clean, presentable dining areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas and storage per health regulations.
• Work with dietary staff to assist during meals and promote resident satisfaction.
• Follow infection control protocols and participate in training opportunities.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
